About Me
My name is Carrick, a filmmaker based in Vancouver, Canada. I grew up in Hong Kong, an experience that shaped my cultural perspective and continues to influence my creative voice.
I studied Film with a focus on Visual Art and Design, completing two years of formal training in cinematic storytelling, composition, and visual language. Before film school, I worked as a school photographer and video editor, where I developed a strong foundation in capturing authentic moments and crafting stories through images.
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, I bring a cross cultural perspective to my work and enjoy connecting with diverse communities through visual storytelling.
I am driven by a simple goal to create meaningful work every day. I believe storytelling has the power to capture not only how something looks, but how it feels. My ambition is to continue refining my craft and pursue filmmaking at the highest level, telling stories that are honest, dynamic and human.
